Faculty Members of the Accountancy Cluster from the School of Business and Governance attended the Annual National Convention (ANC) of the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (ACPAPP) held on September 26 and 27, 2024, at Cordillera Convention Hall, Baguio Country Club, Baguio City.
With the theme “Grit Redefined,” the 2-day event participated in by our faculty members was packed with technical sessions featuring relevant insights, updates, and trends in accounting, with themes that were anchored on Good Governance, Resilience, Integrity, and Teamwork (GRIT).
At the sidelines of the convention, the faculty members also had a chance to meet with AdDU Alumnus and OLi Technologies Inc. Founder and CEO Mr. John Tano, CPA (BS Accountancy, 2007), and his team. OLi Technologies, Inc., is the Philippines’ first cloud-based practice management platform for Accountants, Bookkeepers. and Accounting Firms.
The participation of our faculty in this convention was made possible by the university’s support through its Faculty Development Program. Through the said program, faculty members can attend conferences to network with peers in the discipline and the industry and reconnect with our alumni, aside from the most important part, which is earning the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units that the Professional Regulation Commission requires. Our faculty members have expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this opportunity, acknowledging the university’s support as instrumental in their professional growth and development.
